Abstract:
The synthesis of the chiral Sn bromides I (R = Br with R = tBu, R1 = Me, R2 = H; R = tBu, R1 = H, R2 = Me; R = Ph, R1 = Me, R2 = H; R = Bu, R1 = tBu, R2 = H; R = tBu, R1 = tBu, R2 = H) and the corresponding hydrides I (R = H), contg. the potentially bidentate, optically active 2-[(1S/R)-1-(dimethylamino)ethyl]phenyl and 2-[(1S)-1-(dimethylamino)-2,2-dimethylpropyl]phenyl ligands, is reported. The hydrides, with the Sn atom as the stereogenic center, were isolated as diastereomeric mixts. with diastereomeric ratios of 50:50 to 80:20. The abs. configuration of (-)-(1S)-1-(2-bromophenyl)-2,2-dimethylpropanamine was detd. by single-crystal x-ray structure anal.
